Voice Operated Home Appliances is the main part of automation. In the future, voice recognition technology will be the method for controlling appliances, computers, and robots. There is a huge demand waiting for this technology to come into effect. Voice recognition is a standalone and very less expensive technique that may be used to control electrical appliances. The whole kit can be divided into two parts. Part one includes hardware and the second includes software. In hardware, we are using the USB to UART interface and controller and interface for the device control. We will control 4 devices as prototypes.

Voice Operated Home Appliances Kit can be further extended if we code for more commands. For our simplicity, we will control here only 4 devices that are being controlled directly by the controller on basis of voice commands. In the software section, we shall use visual basic (require VB 6.0) to interact with the computer and USB port for communication.

The different appliances circuit can be controlled very easily by voice. It can be used in military applications where soldiers are given commands so it can also be used there. It can be further implemented into robots that operate on voice.
